My drawing is of the Great Friday Mosque located in the vibrant
city of Herat. This historic monument was built more than 800 years ago
using tile mosaic. I was intrigued by the bright blue minarets and
intricate detail throughout. A true depiction of the beauty and
craftsmanship of islamic art.

By sending your submission you give us permission to publish, print and add your work publicly as part of the exhibition and showcase and our efforts to promote Afghanistan and the initiation of the Afghan Library and Peace Centre. You can include your name or opt out. You will only receive an email of acknowledgement if we decide to add your submission to the online showcase and forthcoming exhibitions. For participants aged below 18 we require the approval of parents/carers prior to publishing entries.
